When a friend of mine recently gifted me this book, I was hoping that this would be a nice little appetizer for the serious reading in the days ahead. Surfing through the first few page, I found them to be interesting too. But, as the pages progressed, all that hope and interest gave way to boredom and a sense of annoyance.A potpourri of sorts, this book tries to be many things at once - self-help, business, finance, and finally and mainly, network marketing. The author emphasizes on network marketing as one of the trusted ways to become rich quick and on one's own terms. As if we haven't heard it all from those impassioned distributors trying to enroll us into their pyramid selling. In fact, a simple Google search will tell you that there have been people who have become millionaires through this mode, but this is not for everyone and not for everywhere.
Filled with anecdotes, jokes and a few inspirational quotes, this book is really for those people who are frantically searching for ways and means to become rich quick. And, if you take away those quotes, anecdotes and jokes, the rest of the book could be presented neatly in two A4-sized sheets. As for the serious readers, I wouldn't recommend this for any reason.
...moreAll in all a bad read... I am being really nice when I give it two stars... It talks about network marketing, synergy and franchising combined. Basically he speaks about how Amway sells... and how people make money out of it... It's highly biased and does not even mention any downsides to this. Moreover this strategy of making money has proved to be dangerous in the Indian scenario for many people with rogue companies like Symbiosis etc. cropping up.

Network marketing had disadvantages too which are not explained in the book. For instance, There are only limited people on the Earth. You assume yourself at the top of the Pyramid of network marketing, but what if you are one of the last few if the entrants i.e. one of the last legs of the Pyramid.
Not worth buying the idea presented in the book.
Does not deserve even one star.

The author starts the book with a very interesting question. Have you ever thought about how good we are at copycatting? Copycatting starts the day we are born, we copy the language we speak, the food we eat, the way we walk, the way we dress. So why haven't we found a way to copycat creating wealth?
The most important part of this book explaination of "Power of compounding". Albert Einstein says compounding is the eighth wonder of the world. Use this powerful principal to create wealth by building business which leverages this very concept. I learnt how important it is to take leverage of time and compounding (exponential growth).
...moreThe book is very small and contains lot of spelling mistakes. I am not sure, whether it is the mistake while printing or mistakes by intentionally.
Its not an excellent book. If you search 'What is franchising or Network Marketing with example' in Google, you will get an output somewhat like this book.
My rating 2/5

I liked the way Mr. Burke has given the information on Network Marketing's Potential.
I liked his statement "..we are born copycatters!" :)

🌻After a very long time I have read a book which is a little against my philosophy of living life. This book challenged my perspective of how we humans are actually living oh sorry not living how we are copying. Yes that is what the book is all about how best we are at copycatting.

😇How did I feel while reading the book?
🌻Burke in his book as started off with how we humans are great at copycatting. From childhood till now we have been copying each and everything from someone or the other. Sometimes we call it inspiration sometimes we call it a role model. Every time we are looking up to somebody to make ourselves a better version of ourselves.
The Book helps to give us an idea about how to differentiate between a temporary income and wealth, therefore networking which can be a great scope in the coming future, and is a good book if you want to start a network managing business. It gives a very small description of how the Franchising or Network marketing concepts are different from the normal job.
😇How did I change after reading the book?
🌻This is something I came across while reading the book and this made me realize we might be going right or wrong whatever. We assume that we are copying the right person....we copy others, and others copy us.
...moreHe tells us the value of exponential growth, leverage and also tells us how to copycat our way to success. Its a must read and will surely change your view about life.
On one page there was a context of what tv watchers around the world eat while watching Tv, so In indian column author had listed mutton sandwiches. I refute this claim as most of Indians do not indulge into mutton sandwiches, many are vegetarians.
Though the reason behing mentioning this fact was the level of due diligence done by the author.
You will know nothing more which you already didn't know.
Some of great ingredients 👌🏼
1. Employed others instead of doing it alone
2. Compounding investing rule 72
3. Creative synergism - (network marketing )people franchise) like ice cream n waffle case study
4. Franchising
5. Network marketing is like more freedom - free enterprise (grows linearly)
There was no gem here. Nothing useful. Just one big sales pitch for networking marketing as your freedom form trading time for money.
I personally have no issue with MLMs. But this was not really the book I thought I was buying or the information I thought I might get. Also, very very dated material and numbers.
But if you skip the last part, the book is great brain food overall.
